KURB Newsletter September 2025
New stores, better UI, and more.
No month goes by without looking back and being somewhat amazed by the things done, especially on the tech side of KURB. But let’s stop before we douse ourselves with too much self-praise.
Undoubtedly, many will find themselves mourning the slow disappearance of the sun, but as fashion enthusiasts it’s hard not to revel under the reintegration of layers on our bodies; September may just be the best month for dressing up. Besides, there’ll be less guilt in spending eight hours a day in front of the screen, finding ways to further streamline the code, all in love of the fashion resale landscape, and our ignorance of our own sanity.
Neither can we distribute a newsletter without at least mentioning our recent and biggest-in-a-time technological addition which is KURB Pro, symbolizing a love letter to all those stuck in the nth layer of fashion hell (like us). There’s no way of getting out — so better equip yourself with the best available tools to persevere.
And as always, our ears remain peeled to the voices of our community and the growls of our guts. This means that new stores have been added to KURB.
We hit the ground running this month as we applied some new technology methods enabling us to implement long wanted vendors to the KURB website. I know at least some of you will be thrilled to hear that we have added Mercari (global), Carousell, Reversible, Archive Stock, Bagista, Okoku, and Rubylane and many more independent secondhand designer focused vendors. Alongside this, we have also released a flurry of UX updates and roadmapped quite a few things for the coming few months. These updates have been led by talking to users like you. If you’d like to let us know what you think please find a time to chat to us or fill in this survey below.
We also recently introduced a new feature on our website enabling you to report listings that are faulty for whatever reason. This can be anything from a listing appearing double or simply having a broken link. You’ll find it below the item description on every listing.
September also saw Ali venturing into a type of spectacle none of us at KURB have the proper character build for: TheDrop in Malmö, an event where startups and investors from the whole world meet. In other words, an essential step in the KURB journey, that only proves itself to be all the more labyrinthian with every one of these attended. You’d think you’d be the only one with an almost delusional belief in changing the world — wrong!
By some coincidence, it appears that last August’s sombre mood will bleed into this September. There’s nothing like an angelic voice offering some relief within the depths of the fashion resale caves. And can we suggest lighting a candle and keeping a box of tissues within arms reach in case your quest for some retail relief fails? Just to further enhance the ambience. Give the playlist a try!
As we’ve continuously stressed before, nothing ever sits still here at KURB. In fact, sometimes we find ourselves with so many ideas for the future, we have to pinch ourselves and remind ourselves we’re just human. If you’re keen on staying on top of everything that’s happening, please check out our Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Discord, and subscribe to our newsletter!
