KURB Newsletter August 2025
Better late than never, KURB August updates coming through.
It’s been a hazy summer for us at KURB, but we still managed to trickle out some important updates. Much of the team have been caught between moving cities, life maintenance and scorching themselves somewhere in Europe. This reprieve did not entirely grind us to a halt, but did produce some sparks which I’ll glitz you with below!
On the tech side Nick and I have locked into improving and fixing website elements. We decided to focus on excising a long-time thorn in our sides: the search load times, and I’m relieved to say we have made some headway, but there’s still a way to go. We also enriched discoverability through the search process by implementing carousels in both product pages. There have also been updates and tweaks to the user interface across both the search and vendors page. I look forward to more changes, particularly on the landing page in the near future.
Our sights have also been set on really communicating with members of the secondhand designer community. Over the past month we’ve made a concerted effort to reach out to some of you and hope to put the pedal to the metal over the coming month. Keep an eye on your inbox for us. In a similar vein, we will be participating in TheDrop50 in Malmö in mid September, so if you’d like to see what’s really boiling in the KURB underbelly or simply hang out with our founder you can meet us there!
We set up a humble media barrage announcing KURB Pro, our premium service which automates the sourcing process for you based on your filters. For as low as $4 a month you can take advantage of the fastest, most comprehensive and up-to-date secondhand designer search engine on the planet, giving you up-to-the-minute notifications across devices as soon as new items according to your filters hit the market. If you’d like to learn more please do not hesitate to engage with us, we’re happy to offer a test-drive to particularly interested parties.
We really let our inner sadgirl speak with this month’s Spotify playlist. Find some time to weep by a willow before pressing the play, it’s sure to take you through all the bad romances (and more) as a crestfallen state takes hold.
As we say good bye to a month of chilling-tf-out we look forward to heralding in the coming year. We have a bunch more stuff planned and to keep on top of all that’s happening, you can check us out on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Linkedin, Discord, along with signing up to our community newsletter!
